Official Statement on Hunahpu’s Day 2020:

It is with great sadness that Cigar City Brewing will be cancelling 2020 Hunahpu’s Day festival scheduled for March 13, 2020. We have decided at this time it is the most responsible action to take for our loyal consumers, our employees, the craft community in addition to the great city of Tampa. We are disappointed that we will not be able to celebrate with some of our biggest fans and fellow brewers as we have done for the past ten years.

2020 Hunahpu’s Imperial Stout bottles are secure and bottle pick-up will be extended through June 30, 2020 at the brewery.

Our refund policy as stated on our ticketing website reads, “Note: Hunahpu’s Day 2020 is rain or shine. In the event of an unforeseen circumstance and Cigar City Brewing is forced to cancel and the event cannot be rescheduled, the festival portion of the ticket will be refunded. $100 of the ticket price is allocated to the festival. The remainder covers the cost of the bottles.”

Our fans have two refund options:

  1. $100 refund (you can still pick up your 2020 Hunahpu bottles)
  2. In lieu of the $100 refund, a ticket to next year’s festival in addition to 4 bottles of 2021 Hunahpu’s Imperial Stout, a $200 value. More details will be communicated as we develop the refund plan with our ticketing agent.

This is a heartbreaking decision and we are grateful to our fans, fellow brewers, vendors and event partners.

Thank you for your patience as we navigate this unprecedented situation. We’ve been fielding many questions and concerns and would like to address some of the most common of these.

 

Here’s some information regarding refunds for Hunahpu’s Day 2020:

  • As outlined on our ticketing website, our refund policy is as follows: “In the event of an unforeseen circumstance and Cigar City Brewing is forced to cancel and the event cannot be rescheduled, the festival portion of the ticket will be refunded. $100 of the ticket price is allocated to the festival. The remainder covers the cost of the bottles.” This refund policy applies to all ticket levels, including VIP tickets.
  • If you would like a $100 USD refund for the festival portion of Hunahpu’s Day 2020, no further action is required. The refund process will begin on March 24th, 2020 and it may take several days for your refund to be processed.
  • In lieu of a refund, you may choose to receive a ticket to Hunahpu’s Day 2021 and four bottles of 2021 Hunahpu’s Imperial Stout when the beer is released next year. This offer means you’ll be receiving a 4-bottle ticket for Hunahpu’s Day 2021, a $200 value, for $100. We are not able to offer a credit toward higher tier ticket levels for Hunahpu’s Day 2021. If you would like to take advantage of this offer, you must email patronsupport@vendini.com. Please include your name, your Vendini order number and the name on the credit card used to purchase your ticket(s). If no communication is sent to this email address, your $100 will be automatically refunded beginning on March 24th.
  • Regardless of your refund or transfer choice, your bottles of 2020 Hunahpu’s Imperial Stout are secure and will be available for pick up at the Cigar City Brewing Tap Room until June 30th, 2020.
  • There will be no additional refund or transfer options available.

 

Here’s some information regarding Hunahpu’s 2020 bottle pickups:

  • Bottle pick-ups have been extended until June 30th, 2020. You may come to the Cigar City Brewing Taproom any time between 11 a.m. and 8 p.m. any day between now and June 30th, 2020 to claim your bottles.
  • Ticket holders picking up their bottles will be given their souvenir Hunahpu’s Day 2020 tasting glass. If you picked up your bottles before Friday, March 13th, you may return to the Cigar City Brewing Taproom to claim your glass.

 

Here’s some additional information regarding Hunahpu’s Day 2020:

  • Unless otherwise instructed by local or state officials, the Cigar City Brewing Taproom will be open for business from 11 a.m. until 10 p.m.
  • Airlines, hotels and the general tourism industry have been navigating this situation as it has developed and many have amended their refund policies. We encourage anyone who booked accommodations or travel for Hunahpu’s Day 2020 to contact their airline, hotel or travel company to find out about refunds or rebooking.
