Tampa Bay Beer Week 2023

It’s the most wonderful time of the year! Tampa Bay Beer Week (TBBW) is around the bend and we’re celebrating big with five barrel-aged beer releases. Kicking off Monday, March 6th we’ll be dropping a new B.A. bottle each day leading up to Hunahpu’s Day. Our production team has been hard at work brewing up some tasty and eccentric releases that will be available each day in our beer cooler on a first come, first served basis starting at 11am. Purchases will be limited to two bottles of each release per guest, and one bottle each for Friday’s release (Taproom will open at 10am on Friday). Be sure to join us at Spruce Street for these daily releases + daily food specials all week long!

Each release highlights a piece of Tampa Bay culture, while taking cues from the cigar industry upon which Tampa was built. From Gasparilla to Ybor City, each bottle will serve as a delicious, drinkable collector’s item for the beer and (Tampa) Bay lovers in us all.

Monday, March 6th

Our first TBBW drop of the week, Monday, is a nod to the nation’s #1 rated airport and the meme account we didn’t know we needed, Tampa International Airport. This Sour Ale aged in Peach Brandy Barrels is as smooth as a red-eye flight out of TPA with a refreshing tartness plus notes of peach, lemon, and a touch of vanilla imparted from Brandy-Barrels.

Tuesday, March 7th

Our second drop of the week titled (you guessed it), Tuesday, is a celebration of Tampa’s historic Ybor City and its rich and vibrant history. This Bourbon Barrel-Aged Imperial Stout aged in Brown Sugar Rum Barrels is as vibrant as its landmark label art and will transport drinkers to the yesteryear of Havana-inspired nights with hints of rum, Baker’s Chocolate, molasses, and Oak-spice.

Wednesday, March 8th

Batton the hatches and shiver me timbers, Wednesday, is a Barleywine Style Ale aged in Cognac Orange Liqueur Barrels with Vanilla and dedicated to the one and only Gasparilla Pirate Parade. With a flavor profile as big as the parade itself this brew boasts hints of toffee and orange liquor with subtle notes of vanilla and dark fruit.

Thursday, March 9th

Thursday is a blend of Imperial Brown Ale aged in Cherry Brandy Barrels, Old Ale Aged in Coconut Rum Barrels, and Imperial Stout aged in Apple Brandy barrels. This delectable cuvee’ is as eclectic and complex as the Tampa water-ways that inspired the label art. Subtle notes of apple, toffee, red fruit, and vanilla work together seamlessly in this beast of a barrel-aged brew.

Friday, March 10th

Our final release in this year’s TBBW series, Friday, is an Imperial Stout aged in Apple Brandy Barrels with Cinnamon, Cacao, Vanilla, plus Chile Peppers with label-art featuring the Downtown Tampa skyline amid cotton-candy skies. This beer is as dreamy and ethereal as the views of Tampa Bay with notes of tobacco, dried fruit, vanilla, and chocolate. Chile Peppers impart a slight heat to balance out the sweetness.

We hope you’ll join us for a week full of great beer and great community as we celebrate another Tampa Bay Beer Week at Spruce Street!
