Pollona! With Coffee!

Milk Stout with Coffee

Did you know?

Cubans and Cuban Americans play a very unique type of dominoes, one that involves more strategy and skill than most traditional domino games. It also involves a bit of friendly ribbing when you’ve really walloped your opponent. When your team wins while preventing the other team from scoring any points at all, you yell “pollona!”, roughly meaning “big chicken”. We’ve created a low-alcohol milk stout with coffee beans to be enjoyed while playing dominoes, enjoying a mild claro cigar or yelling mildly diminutive things at your opponents.

Tasting Notes

Aromas and flavors of milk chocolate, espresso beans and bread crust are balanced by mild roastiness from dark malts and a pleasant bitterness. The low alcohol and moderate sweetness of the beer make it a perfect session ale for dark beer lovers.
