CCB/Galway Bay Brewing Leannlusanna

Irish-American IPA

Did you know?

Brewed in collaboration with our friends at Ireland’s premier craft brewery Galway Bay Brewing, this unique Irish-American IPA takes it’s name from the Irish word for hops. And boy, are there a lot of hops in this one with Equinox, Eureka, Citra, Simcoe, Azacca and Mosaic all vying for attention. The ambitious beer crosses the Atlantic in spirit through the use of Suffolk County and West Yorkshire ale yeasts while Double IPA yeast grounds it firmly in the US of A. We hope you enjoy Cigar City Brewing and Galway Bay Brewing’s celebration of American hops, European yeast and international friendship as much as we enjoyed brewing it.

Tasting Notes

Red apple, peach, fresh baked bread and orange peel combine into a unique nose on this transcontinental IPA. Bread crust and brown sugar-like maltiness hit the palate up front but relent to a complex hop profile boasting flavors of tangerine, red apples and candied orange peel. Deft balance in recipe creation allows each aspect of the beer to shine while creating a single harmonious experience.
