Formal Goatee

New England-style Pale Ale with Wheat

Did you know?

Is there anything more formal in this world than a finely trimmed, debonaire goatee? We at Cigar City Brewing think not. From Guy Fieri to Tim McGraw toVladimir Ilyich Ulyanov to Stone Cold Steve Austin, only men of the most upstanding stature and ambition may claim to sport a “formal goatee”. We celebrate these men and their pseudo-beards with this New England-style Pale Ale with Wheatbrewed with Huell Melon, Denali, Hallertau Blanc and Exp. 06277 hops. Goatee? Oui, oui.

Tasting Notes

This hazy wheat ale boasts melon, sauvignon blanc and honeysuckle flavors from several new hop varietals, as well as lime peel and pineapple-like esters. A hearty dry-hopping regimen and the addition of pale wheat adds texture while lively carbonation accentuates the beer’s effervescence.
