Bourbon Barrel-aged Imperial Milk Stout

Did you know?

As massive as a milking cow, this Imperial Milk Stout has spent months aging in white oak bourbon barrels to impart spicy, oaken notes and emphasize the cream-like quality of the lactose with which the beer was brewed.

“All the really good ideas I ever had came to me while I was milking a cow.” – Grant Wood

Tasting Notes

Semi-sweet chocolate and vanilla show themselves assertively on the nose but the aroma of freshly-emptied bourbon barrels takes center stage on the nose. Treacle, molasses and bakers chocolate are flavors that compete with sweet fudge and créme on the tongue while the beer coats and lingers for a fully tactile experience.
