Ready, Set, Blast off with Cosmic Crown Belgian-style Golden Ale!

Cigar City Brewing, the Southeast’s leading craft brewery, is going Intergalactic with the release of Cosmic Crown, a Belgian-Style Strong Golden Ale hitting Southeast distribution this Spring. The new release marks the first venture into the Strong Golden Ale distribution category for CCB.

We’ve taken inspiration from beyond the cosmos for this golden-hued Strong Golden Ale and added Galaxy hops to impart passionfruit and peach qualities to its profile of ripe fruit and light peppery spice. Clocking in at 9% ABV, this deceptively devilish beer of formidable strength delivers tropical notes and a hint of spice that’s enjoyed by princes and paupers alike.

Assertive aromas of pineapple, bubblegum, dried flowers, and a hint of black pepper greet the nose. Overripe banana, red apple, and lime leaf esters play on the palate, while poundcake-like malt, pepper-like spiciness, and herbaceous bitterness play supporting roles.

Cosmic Crown will see a gradual rollout in our Southeast distribution at select retailers starting in Spring of 2022 and is available now in both 6-packs of 12oz cans, and on draft in our Spruce Street Taproom.
